On December 7, 2014 Chicago Angels, hosted yet another annual holiday fundraiser – Mikolajki – under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago.

This year’s event included: a very special visit from Santa Claus himself; well know sport figures such as Andrew Golota, Andrzej Fonfara, Peter Fetel, Adam Maciejewski, Przemyslaw Majewski, and Polish Highlander Queen and King 2014/2015.

Performances by: Clowns, Disney mascots, Wanta Band, Profusion, Watra Band, Mali Siumni, Slebodni, DJ Chris Stasik, Andrew Krzeptowski and Mountain Eagles, Children from the Polish Kindergarten Association.

Guests will had an opportunity to purchase holiday gifts, take pictures with Santa and participate in a lottery and auction.

This year, the You Can Be My Angel Foundation was fundraising to save life of a 5 year old Amelka Szewczyk from Poland. Amelka is battling neuroblastoma cancer and the only chance for her is anti GD2 therapy. This treatment is not available in Poland, and is not reimbursed by the Polish National Health Fund. It is also very expensive – $60,000. We believe that with your help Amelka will be able to travel to Italy for her life-saving therapy. All proceeds from this event will benefit Amelka Szewczyk.
