Polish Constitution Parade 2014

The You Can Be My Angel Foundation for the first time took part in the Polish Constitution Day Parade which was held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront. The Chicago parade, organized by Alliance of Polish Clubs in Chicago, honors the Polish Constitution of 1791, the first democratic constitution in Europe and second in the world only to the United States Constitution.

Fantastic weather, amazing atmosphere and more than 100 YCBMAF volunteers and their friends contributed to an amazing experience. Thanks to a generous contribution from Quality Truck & Trailer Repair Inc we were able to march along more than 106 other polish organizations and spread our mission of helping children with cancer.

A big surprise of the event turned out to be the band Ich Troje, which joined our organization and marched along us through streets of Chicago. Younger and older volunteers wearing angel wings, waving flags and singing the anthem of our Foundation, members of our group dressed in T-shirts with pictures of children we have helped so far, and a huge colorful vehicle completed the fantastic view.

We will meet again next year.
